This week's Bonus Crush is actress Amanda Seyfried, lately of Mama Mia!, which I have not seen (and doubtfully ever will; I prefer my ABBA in audio form only). I have enjoyed her work in "Big Love" and Mean Girls, though.
No, I certainly wouldn't recommend seeing it in the theater. I paid $6.50 at a cheap theater on a night where I was facing Nothing On TV and Nothing To Do. That's about the maximum that I would have felt comfortable spending, in terms of money and time, to see the movie. I'm not disappointed, but I think I would have been if I'd had to drive further or pay more.
Might be worth watching on DVD if you can get it for free from the library. :)
Well, considering that the library is pretty much my sole go-to for movies newly released on DVD, that's an option. But by then I'll likely be too consumed by Fall TV to care (or have time).
After Colin Firth, she was the best thing about Mamma Mia. And if we're going by singing talent rather than being A Dreamy Dude, she was best.
ReplyDeleteGood to hear. I like Colin Firth...I just have no desire to see this. Outside of a few musicals, the genre doesn't do much for me.
ReplyDeleteThis is pretty much the extent of my "Mama Mia!" experience. (Good times, good times...)
