Yet another big squid update

In an effort to keep my readers informed about all things concerning big squids, New Zealand fisherman have caught a colossal squid weighing a record 990 pounds. Please note: colossal squids are a different species than giant squids.

Last year I blogged about Japanese researchers photographing the elusive giant squid. Well, tonight the Discovery Channel aired a special about their find. This is a belated TV alert, but they are reairing it again at midnight.

We're going to need a bigger boat. And LOTS of marinara sauce.

The elusive giant squid has finally been photographed. It's about time. I remember investing a couple hours of my valuable time on a program about the hunt for the creature only to have the pursuers foiled again (CURSES!). I swear, it was the biggest TV cocktease since Al Capone's vaults.
