Best of 2006: singles (addendum)

For some reason, I left my country picks off of the list:

Eric Church - "Two Pink Lines" Never has a pregnancy scare been so catchy.

Jace Everett - "Bad Things" "I don't know who you think you are, but before the night is through/I wanna do bad things with you." If you've got to copy someone, it might as well be Chris Isaak. (Sony had the video taken down from YouTube, but you can watch it on his site)

I know the reason; most new country sucks. Case in point, those two tracks (and the country classification of the latter is dubious at best.)

spydrz - Uh, is that one of those American Idol chix? 'Cause the only one that I even remotely like is Kelly Clarkson.

THSE - I'm in full agreement that country music today really sucks; I just like those two songs (the latter of which was marketed to the country audience, so I classified it thusly).

Where's your Crush of the Year?

Some technical set-backs have made me postpone a lot of these "best of" lists. I should be getting my new laptop in a week or so, but I may get to it before then.
