Song to get you through the weekend: "Gloria" by Hawk Nelson

Yeah, I didn't get what I really wanted, either.

OK, so I'm not really commenting on your most recent post per se, though I must admit that Christmas seems to have left me this season much more quickly than I had wanted it to, and this post seems to reflect that same sentiment. No matter; I told myself I'd post on your Blog in response to ... well, I'll get to that in a minute.

Lets recap: Christmas 2008, came and went. Not enough Morris. So I nestled all snug in my Christmas Spirit 2009, when what to my wondering eyes should appear? A big box from Micah, chock full of cheer! Thanks for the gifts, dude. Regrettably, I have not yet gotten to the Colbert Christmas, though I'm not throwing in the towel until Tuesday, January 5th. But I have amused myself (in a nice way) to AVMC 2009 and abused myself (in a naughty way) to AVMCAH. Your 10th anniversary was no disappointment! Bravo, sir. Not to mention the Spring, Summer, and Fall mixes ... excellent conservation of postage.

So now we do need to exchange furtive glances over lite fare and greasy glasses, though I have but one day left in the good ol' Tri-Cities. So I reckon we either lunch tomorrow, or -- not to fear -- we do it in 2 or 3 weeks when I'm back in town.

And remember, it really is a wonderful life.

Happily wearing slippers ...

The Colonials hated Christmas a lot. The Chad, who lived just north of Colonialville, he did not.

Okay, I can't keep up composing this reply in verse.

Ha, glad you enjoyed your parcel. The Colbert special is a new Christmas classic, in my humble opinion. The AVMCs were fun to put together, but I'm really glad I'm done with it for another 11 months or so. As for bundling all of the CDs, I'd like to say the reason for that was postal conservation, but really it was laziness. I planned on sending last year's Christmas present late, bundled with the then current seasonal mix (Christmas in March! Christmas in July! Christmas in October!), but never really got around to it. So you had to settle for Christmas in December.

As this is another short work week, I have to make up some badly-needed hours and unfortunately can't break away today. I'm happy to hear that you'll be back so soon, though. Prepare yourself for Christmas in January!

Time to kick off my slippers and get cleaned up.

(Shall we conduct all of our future personal correspondences in such a public forum? Not that anyway ever does more than look at the pretty pictures here.)
