Happy 4th!

Too bad all protesters don't look like her. I'd watch C-SPAN more often.

Just a little Jessica Simpson eye candy for your Independence Day. Hey, our Founding Fathers would've posted the picture on their blogs, too*. Since I'll be pretty busy for the rest of the week, let's just call her the Crush of the Week.

I'm on my way to spend today with friends, family, dogs, and Johnny Cash.

*Well, maybe not TJ. He'd probably put up a pic of Beyonce.

Picked up the Cash this morning...apparently everybody decided to go to C-City this morning. Must've been having a sale or something.

I must say, although I like the new album, I'd like some more "harmonicai."

The CC by Chesterfield Town Center had a bunch, around noon.

I'm 10 tracks in and lovin' it.

If anything, I'm sure it could use more cowbell.

this photo confuses me; the military garb and dog tags, jingoistic (or patriotic...take your pick) swimwear but flashing a peace sign?

Fortunately, I can see past all of it and get down to the only thing that matters; I'd hit that.

thse,

can't you see she's making a statement, via Pvt. Joker from Full Metal Jacket:

Pogue Colonel: Marine, what is that button on your body armor?
Private Joker: A peace symbol, sir.
Pogue Colonel: Where'd you get it?
Private Joker: I don't remember, sir.
Pogue Colonel: What is that you've got written on your helmet?
Private Joker: "Born to Kill", sir.
Pogue Colonel: You write "Born to Kill" on your helmet and you wear a peace button. What's that supposed to be, some kind of sick joke?
Private Joker: No, sir.
Pogue Colonel: You'd better get your head and your ass wired together, or I will take a giant shit on you.
Private Joker: Yes, sir.
Pogue Colonel: Now answer my question or you'll be standing tall before the man.
Private Joker: I think I was trying to suggest something about the duality of man, sir.
Pogue Colonel: The what?
Private Joker: The duality of man. The Jungian thing, sir.

thank you, o holy IMDB.

dubin - Babies...before I'm done...y'all will be wearing gold-plated diapers.

THSE - She could be a fascist anarchist and it still wouldn't change the fact that I'd hit that.

jasdye - Good call. Oh, Modine, where did you go?

Fellas, I'm just like you. I put my pants on one leg at a time. The only difference is then I make gold records.

Hey Micah, you 'bout those new episodes of Sunny? I thought the idea of two upper middle class willfully becoming addicted to crack (and actually SHOWING it) was brilliant TV! Bravo!
