"Hey, guys. Someone making soup?"

"This is the first refrigerator I've ever owned."

"Oh, I steal things all the time. It's just something I do. I stopped caring a long time ago. You should see how many supplies I've taken from this place. Honestly, I love stealing things."

After plowing through the bulk of "The Office" second season DVDs, I've come to the conclusion that Creed is my favorite character. He's just so damn creepy...and funny. Turns out, in real life he was a member of the band The Grass Roots.

In other news, I came across this Jam - that's Jim and Pam - video: a compilation of their cute little moments set to the Old 97's "Question" (a song that I normally associate with Ed Stevens and Carol Vessey*). I love it. Yeah, I'm a big softy.

*Man, "Ed" is one of the only TV shows not already on DVD that I'm clamoring for.

Rick and I were just talking about Creed the other day; fooking hilarious. One of the best things about the US version of The Office is the supporting cast/roleplayers. They're so much stronger than their UK counterparts.

However, they [the writers] better come back strong this week. If they return with some p***y sh*t (read: the way they ended season two) I will be sorely disappointed. While the US version is distinctly different from its UK counterpart, they need to follow the original's lead and crush Jim's spirit for as long as possible.

THSE - Too true. Kevin, Angela, Oscar, Toby, Phyllis, Meredith, Kelly, Ryan, Stanley, Jan, Bob Vance (Vance Refrigeration): all golden. I've only seen the UK version once or twice and that was years ago, so I can't really compare the two. But I have a feeling that Pam's wedding was postponed.

spydrz - Will do.

I need to watch the UK series sometime; I have no basis for comparison. If it's as funny as the US version, though, I am missing out big time.

I think Dwight may be my favorite character. He's like a menacing puppy dog -- never before his character would I have thought that "menacing puppy dog" would describe anything, but it kind of does in his case.

I get more laughs out of the US version; it's zanier and they get more of the cast involved.

I love the UK version because I am a miserable bastard and I like to see people get crushed by life, disappointment. The UK version is chock full moments similar to when Michael found the old VHS tape of himself on that children's TV program.

If you're not watching Gervais and Merchant's new program, "Extras", you're missing out.

law fairy - "Menacing puppy dogs"...sounds like a good band name.

THSE - That kids' show moment was really crushing. I'm sure I'll give the UK version another shot at some point, even though it didn't do much for me when I first watched it. Maybe I just wasn't in the mood for it.

And, no, I've never seen "Extras".
