Micah World radio is live!

Wanna hear some new tunes? Check out my Radio Blog at the bottom of the righthand column (you may have to refresh the page). It's a diverse mix of songs from Flogging Molly, Atmosphere, Crowded House, Skillz, Nellie McKay, and others. I'll rotate songs periodically. Enjoy!

Hi! I'll be sure to scheck out the radio thing later. :)
The Untitled song by R.E.M. is really good. I giggle when I hear it cause I heard that the person drumming on that song is not Bill Berry but an exasperated Peter Buck. (Bill couldn't get the rhythm rght for some reason.)

I hadn't heard that before. How could Berry not get that beat? Regardless, the whole "Green" is album is great.

Rock on, Micah! It's like WDCE all over again! (except no Dagmar Mackenzie, no one selling drugs out of the office, and no Shamrock being the boss). I'm digging the Matthew Sweet.

You knew it was only a matter of time before I instituted some super music geeky thing on this blog.

Ah, I miss the WDCE days. Arachnoise, indeed.

Matthew Sweet's one of my faves. His "Girlfriend" album's definitely in my top 10.

Oh my God! Thank you! I know who to download now! I had the Girfriend album on tape eons ago. What a great album! I'm a big fan of power pop in general and I'm surprised I never wore out the tape when I had it. I love Looking at the Sun. It makes me think of that Greek myth where the girl was in love with Helios and he turned her into a sunflower after she died. Heh heh...yeah. Good album!

I'm a huge power pop fan, always looking for the next ultra-catchy record. Yeah, Matthew Sweet is something else. "Girlfriend" is tops, "100% Fun" and "In Reverse" are also up there, and the rest of his catalog is worth more than a listen. I still wear the "Girlfriend" 1992 Tour t-shirt, although it's on its last legs.

I just met someone this weekend who introduced me to Nellie McKay - she's great!! Sounds like you have good taste; I'll have to check out your radio...

I like to think that my taste in music is superior. What better way to inflict it on the masses than this blog? :)
