This video has been around for a while, but it's still damn funny. I haven't laughed so hard at an internet video since "Gonads and Strife" and "The whistles go WOO WOO." The guy reminds me of a pre-svelte Steven Page from the Barenaked Ladies.
Want the video uncut with lyric subtitles and translation? Look here.
The original video of the song is here. It kind of makes you nostalgic for the days when Eiffel 65 reigned supreme on the charts.
Oh my God. That is too good. That is hilarious. I love it and am bouncing around my apartment at midnight now. Thank you. What language is that anyways?
After very little research, the song is "Dragostea din Tei" by Romanian pop group O-Zone.
It's infectious. I downloaded a copy of the song and it's harder to get out of your head than Kylie Minogue.
Two things come to my mind while viewing this comedy gold:
1) Star Wars Kid (chubby dork going nuts with his "lightsaber")
2) Driving through Europe listening weird, yet strangely catchy, European techno.
KP-the wonderful Italian gas station CDs? At least we weren't in the books-on-tape car.
The Star Wars Kids is pure hilarity.
I've been in a cheesy Europop mood lately. Lots of Alice DeeJay and the like. I need to ask Shamrock what's popular over on that side of the pond nowadays.
"Mixing for you! Radio DJ!" http://www.deejay.it/index.jsp
"Mmmmmmm. I wannna mmmmm mmmmm mmmm."
"Somebody pick up the phone."
That's another classic.
I just realized that weird European techno is quite redundant.
Also, all three of those words can be used interchangably. Try it!
"Techno European Weird" sounds a bit strange though...just like Tarantella.
M, you got to ten thousand hits today! Congrats!
I meant that you can use the words "techno," "European," and "weird" in place of each other.
I saw my 10k hits. I am the shiznit.
I found this recently as well - and I'm still laughing.
I don't think it'll ever get old. Well, maybe. Thanks for stopping by!
