Crush of the Week: Alison Sudol (A Fine Frenzy)

This week's Crush is singer/songwriter/redhead Alison Sudol, who records under the name A Fine Frenzy.

One of her songs ("You Picked Me") is iTunes' free download this week. I'm quite digging it. I, uh, acquired the rest of her album, but haven't listened to it yet.

Nobody likes a redhead....D'OH!!! No, good choice. I think your next Crush of the Week should be the chick in the Flight of the Conchords "Most Beautiful Girl in the Room" video. (Seriously, if you haven't seen it, check it out on YouTube...it's hilarious).

Actually, I did some research--her name is Rachel Blancahrd--and she's not really that hot aside from in the video (not that she should be kicked out of the bed for farting, as the saying goes).

she's at least as pretty as a tree.

dubin - I am soooo digging the Flight of the Conchords' TV show. Aside from the aforementioned "Most Beautiful Girl in the Room", I think "If You're Into It" is a hoot. My favorite song of theirs is from their HBO special, though: "Jenny" ("the daytime...of the night" lol!).

But that chick...I think she'd throw me out of the bed for farting long before I would throw her out.

jasdye - Better looking than an Ent? That's a start, I guess.

i thought i'd make a reference to said song that dubin was sayin' about.

i have yet to catch the show, but "hiphopatamus vs. rhymnasaurus" is my favorite new song in a while.

Yeah, she's as beautiful as a tree...or a high-class prostitute. And when she's on the street--depending on the street--I bet she's definitely in the top three...on that street. I haven't watched the show yet, but I have watched all the videos on YouTube...especially "If You're Into It", the David Bowie song, "The Humans are Dead", the one about tape, "Business Time", etc...all great.

I haven't worked my way through all of the episodes (I've got 3 or 4 to go), but I think you'd dig the show.

And the one dude does a hilarious Bowie impression (the clips are on YouTube).
