My score on the "Are You a Yankee or a Rebel?" linguistic test: 65% Dixie - just under the Mason-Dixon line. That sounds about right, given my Ahia heritage and Southern upbringing.
to be fair, we called them water fountains here. and they never asked about 'bathrooms.' and a lot of my language is picked up from african-americans, deeply rooted in mississippi, with the speech intact.
I'm 43% Dixie, barely Yankeedom. Which is funny, considering I'm from Connecticut. I suppose I've worked that out of my system. I'll have to get Shamrock to take the test and see just how Dixie he is (although they had no choice for 'wooder fountain).
Sweet! Tea, that is. : ) I come out on top with 66% dixie! CB, big surprise there...NOVA is too southern for you; enjoy freezing and carousing with folks that say "a-boot".

I guess years of "The Dukes of Hazzard" and Deliverance had an effect on y'all.
KPMD - You just made me laugh. 'Wooder', indeed.
21% Dixie...I can only imagine that without that year in 'Nawlins, I'd have been in the single digits. And honestly, I would have been okay with that.
Well, at least you live in Detroit.
