"They were funny while they lasted" or "The final countdown"

Cat-like quickness.

You've no doubt heard by now that FOX has said "don't let the door hit your ass on the way out" to "Kitchen Confidential" and has all but canceled "Arrested Development".

It's really easy to hate FOX, what with their track record of not letting good shows develop ("The Tick") or putting them out to pasture in the infuriating post-NFL Sunday death slot ("Futurama"), but they did pretty much all they could with "Arrested Development." People just weren't watching. It's a shame, too, because that is a hilarious show. "Kitchen Confidential" was promising and it's easier to blame FOX there since its demise comes so prematurely (there's a new episode streaming here).

The one silver lining: these two shows are being replaced with a scripted drama ("Prison Break" reruns) rather than new reality crap.

I agree Fox did all they could for AD, THE BEST DAMN SITCOM EVER WRITTEN.

Damn you, America! DAMN YOU.

we knew it would happen, too. at least we'll have three seasons of AD on dvd. more than we can say about the tick.

k.c., though, not much to say about it. dude from buffy was on it. yeah, that's about it.

As much as I loved AD, its Achilles heel was that you had to watch it from the begining, pay a LOT of attention to all the details in each episode, and never miss an episode in between. That simply doesn't gel with today's ADD TV viewers. Hopefully, HBO or Comedy Central will pick it up.

Wow-AD is going, huh? I've only watched it a few times, but it was very funny-and I watched it because everyone talks about it. That's surprising.

And Prison Break reruns are always ok in my book. That man is so yummy!

Whatever will the world do without the talents of David Cross as Dr. Tobias Funke, Analrapist?

I laugh as I cry.

That's too bad...very too bad! That was a damn funny show. Silver lining: It will no doubt be released on DVD.
