Well, there goes any chance of being productive

I see that Garden State and Shaun of the Dead are now in rotation on Skinemax. Sure, I've got the DVDs for each, but I'm telling you right now that you can add these two to my list of "Movies That I'll Watch Every TV Viewing That I Can Catch" list (which includes such films as Ocean's Eleven, Dumb and Dumber, La Bamba, and Shattered Glass).

In other pay cable movie news, I just may give Napoleon Dynamite another chance. Hey, I hated Super Troopers and Goldmember when I first saw them, but now find them funny. And it looks like I'll be able to check out Fahrenheit 9/11 without directly giving money to Michael Moore.

Hooray for Napoleon's second chance! And withholding money from Michael Moore!

Too bad I no longer get minorly scrambled Cinemax. HBO and Showtime just play crap movies these days. At least HBO has TV shows.

I'm not expecting to love ND, but maybe I'll see something that wasn't there the first time I saw it. Like a plot.

Showtime's great only for airing "Penn & Teller: Bullshit." HBO will have "The Sopranos" year (seems like freakin' forever). Skinemax - their name says it all.

i'm gonna double up on LF's comments. every one of 'em. comedy central became the only reason to have any cable anymore. (esp. since the simpsons show up on free tv here 3 times a day.)

forget looking for a plot in Napoleon. it's a losing battle. just enjoy the frickin' ride.

Really, jasdye, the whole world would be a better place following your lead there :D

That's what I keep telling it!

The world WILL be a better place if I'm in charge.

One day, they'll learn, they'll learn.

There's actually two more good reasons to have cable: the Food Network and VHI Classic (the latter has replaced the former as my "all-purpose background TV channel".
