It's a beautiful day for a ballgame

In a matter of minutes I'll be driving down to Cincinnati to meet blog buddy Kate for the Reds/Nationals game. I'm excited as this is the first time I'll be seeing my beloved Nationals live. Sure, they lost the first two games of this series, but I have a feeling that the presence of my fandom in the ballpark today will give them the edge. After all, I've got a Nationals cap.

Vargas has a 9.00ERA? Yikes. Guess the Reds will sweep the series. Of course, the Braves' bullpen sucks too...

I too am a Nationals fan, even though I think they should be called the Washington Senators. Who cares if the district only has "shadow" senators? With a populace that elected Mayor "the Bitch set me up" Barry (more than once), could we trust them to vote for real senators? Anyway, I will be happy if the Nationals finish .500 and beat Capt. Backfire's Bo' Sox at least once whenever (if ever) they get to meet. Until Later...

If you think I am poor with the spoken work check out things his Honor spoke while Mayor of DC.

Shamrock, you should note that by law, you are legally required to add the words "World Champion" before each and every mention of the World Champion Boston Red Sox. This rule extends through October, with an option for another 12 month renewal.

So, Micah, I was just wondering if that hat of yours required any, er...alterations? I hope you enjoy the game, go Nats!

CB, I don't know if this "law" of which you speak applies over international waterways. It is funny, though. I remember not too long ago, Mr. Shamrock being a being World Champion Red Sox fan. Oh how time's have changed.

spydrz - We did. And yes, the Reds did.

Cigar Jack - Be careful. I just may hold you to that.

Shamrock - Wow. Way to ramble! So far, the Nationals are much better than the Expos could ever dream of being, so that's a start (although, a .500 finish would be nice). And the only way the Red Sox will play the Nats this season is if they both make it to the World Series. Yeah, right! Boston making the championship. Ha!

CB - How does it feel to be a Red Sox fan in Yankee country? Must be hell to put up with all of them.

KPMD - Nope, hat came as is. You know, for all of the trouble I went through for that Capitals hat, I barely wore the thing. And Shamrock switched baseball loyalties after Boston sold out and won the championship. They are so not indie.
