"So what if I celebrate it standin' on a corner."*
Happy Lee/Jackson/King Day! (You can take the gentleman out of Virginia...)
I plan on observing the memories of these three by watching my backlog of DVRed shows, reading my book, browsing ebay, and anxiously awaiting two more hours of "24".
*Apologies to Chuck D.

I thought it was Warner's (Mark not John) fault for changing L-J-K day, but it was actually Jim Gilmore. Then again, he also got rid of the car tax. So I'll stop celebrating L-J-K day as soon as the car tax goes away!
For some reason even though I knew everyone else had the day off, I thought I had to work.
So I went into work this morning... and I was like the only person there.
Color me retarded!
Now I'll belated start my day of tivo-and-blocbuster-movie-watching...
Almost everybody I know had to go in today. Only teachers and bureaucrats (and bankers) get to enjoy a three day weekend.
Count me among the non-workers. I'm not sure if I actually have the day off or not, but I went ahead and took it. And since no one's called looking for me yet, I'll assume I'm in the right.
Hotels aren't open today?
spydrz - Add temps to the list of people off. Happy happy joy joy!
law fairy - Somebody didn't read her employee handbook.
CB - I'll give you an idea as to how to enjoy your day off. Three magic words: Cinemax On Demand.
Spydrz--We kick all the guests out on holidays. It's bad for business, but good for employee morale. Sadly, we'll have to lay everyone off by June if we keep this practice up.
Micah--Done and done. And done again. I needs for them to update their, um, options. I am passing a bit of the time with Season 4 of "24" on A&E. I loves me some Behrooz.
Behrooz on the Loose!
I decided to multi-task and, in addition to copious amounts of television, I've been ripping a ton of CDs into my iPod (Dead Milkmen, Electronic, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Asylum Street Spankers, etc.).
Agreed on your point about Skinemax. I can burn through their monthly offerings in a weekend. And have.
No Behrooz this season though.
Stranger things have happened. (Kim and a mountain lion come to mind.)
I wouldn't rule it out. Maybe he works for CTU now (which would give me less pause than when Kim miraculously turned out to be employed there - in a technology-intensive position, no less).
Hey, she went to California Community College for a semester.
allright, for us Northern/Midwesterners, would that be Bruce Lee/Action Jackson (also known as Jesse)/and Rodney King day?
'cuz that's gotta be worth two days off, at least.
congrats on making me hungry for some P.E. again.
It's actually Jason Lee/"Willis Jackson"/Stephen King Day.
One should never lose his taste for PE, at least up until their Poison album (although Muse Sick... wasn't all that hot).
They've got a crazy amount (18!) of projects lined up this year, including reissues of Nation and Fear. Hopefully, that'll restore their good name in spite of Flavor Flav's reality dating show.
Please educate this Northern girl (who likes to give you a hard time just for fun) about what Jackson, Lee and King all have in common. :)
Or wait, is that Spike Lee and Jesse Jackson??? ;)
Or is it Bruce Lee/Michael Jackson/Burger King day?
The tie: each of these can cause serious damage to young children. And yet each, upon initial encounter, imitates the addictive qualities of tomacco. Yes, toMacco (so wrong, but so right).
law fairy,
shame on you for equating bruce lee w/ those freaks.
micah,
18 projects? are they doing mash-ups with elvis or something? don't forget flav's crack addiction. and i didn't know pe performed w/ poison. i thought anthrax was bad enough...
word verification for today: wuhll (feel like joey lawrence)
law fairy - A "Simpsons" reference. Well played!
jasdye - Every self-respecting fan would know that PE isn't down with Elvis. But a mash-up would be cool. Get on it.
Seriously, they have a bunch of CDs, reissues, DVDs, books, etc. coming out this year.
*figured somebody this side of chuck berry would get the joke*
